Candis Dawson-Taylor

School Director of the Goodwill Memphis Excel Center

Candis Dawson was named School Director of the Goodwill Memphis Excel Center in 2016. Her affiliation with The Excel Center began in 2015 when she served as Lead Teacher, College Transition Counselor and Building Test Coordinator for the high school for adult learners. Her previous educational and social services experience includes positions as site coordinator for MLK Jr. College Preparatory High School in Memphis; ASD Connector for Frayser Achievement High School for Agape Child & Family Services; and ICF Residential Coordinator for Oak Grove Center in Chattanooga. She holds a Master in Business Administration and Healthcare Service Administration degree from Strayer University and a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Candis works to promote education and life-long learning through collaborations with local agencies to build and promote dual enrollment opportunities, intervention programs and volunteer options for students.
