Janitorial - Head Lead

Under the leadership of the Hilton Janitorial Supervisor, the Janitor Head Lead will be responsible for assisting with the on-site supervision and administration of Memphis Goodwill personnel assigned to the Hilton Janitorial Contract; (EVENINGS). The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings will act as Supervisor on duty, when Hilton Janitorial Supervisor is not present. The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings will assist in the hiring, time management, training and evaluation of Goodwill Janitorial personnel to ensure compliance with all Hilton contract requirements. The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings will ensure compliance with OSHA Federal Guidelines and required MSDS training. The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings must be knowledgeable of cleaning products and appropriate cleaning procedures. The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings will perform administrative duties as assigned by the Hilton Janitorial Supervisor; and the Senior Director of Commercial Contracts. The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings will evaluate various custodial cleaning methods as they relate to offices, cafeteria, training areas, classrooms, and all restrooms--including carpet, hard floors, furnishings and walls; and identify areas where quality training is needed. The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Janitor Head Lead-Evenings must be able to effectively relate to individuals with various barriers to employment, cultural backgrounds and disabilities. Successful candidate must have at least 2-3 years of supervisory/management experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping or related field. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate exemplary on-site supervisory and leadership capabilities.

Training and Development Specialist

The Training and Development Specialist will design, develop, implement, train and evaluate effective mission based training programs for Memphis Goodwill. The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for the design and development of training curriculum needed to accomplish job expectations, professional and personal growth for all team members. The Training and Development Specialist will coordinate with other departmental leaders to create effective training materials, instruction plans and conduct training classes on a variety of topics relevant to skill set and behavior. The Training and Development Specialist will identify areas where training is required; develops technical and non-technical training programs to satisfy goals and objectives.  The Training and Development Specialist will use various training methods i.e. audio-visual aids, classroom instruction, practical training, role-playing, case studies, group discussion and exercises that will best promote learning. The Training and Development Specialist will evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs to ensure the desired objectives are being achieved. Bachelor’s Degree Required in Education, Human Resources Development, Communications, Business Administration, Liberal Arts or related field. At least 5 years of prior work experience as a Facilitator, Professor, Corporate Trainer, Training & Development Specialist or Manager in a corporate or business setting. American Society for Training and Development Certified; Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) preferred. Excellent organizer, meticulous and excellent public speaker at ease moderating small and large groups. Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills. Must be able to relate to individuals with barriers to employment including disabilities, various personalities and cultural backgrounds.

Subject Matter Expert

Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be responsible for the designated training and instruction in the specified areas of production, cashiering, and sales. The SME will demonstrate effective leadership skills, knowledge and outstanding ability in their specialty areas; while ensuring effective training. The SME will adhere to all Goodwill GoodNeighbor Center (retail stores) and personnel policies and procedures; follow safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Team Leader Coach. The SME will adhere to and enforce Goodwill’s Guiding Principles. The Subject Matter Expert must be able to communicate effectively and provide general feedback on trainees. Other duties will be assigned by the Team Leader Coach or Assistant Team Leader. Must have been employed with Goodwill and in current role for at least 6 months.

Key Holder

The Key Holder works under the direct supervision of the Team Leader Coach and/or Assistant Team Leader assisting with the day-to-day operations of the store. The Key Holder is responsible for providing 100% customer service, cash register sales, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting customers, cleaning, pricing and insures cleanliness and image of the GGC. This position is tasked with leadership responsibilities relating to store operations and employee management.  Must be flexible to work rotating schedule; work nights and weekends.
